Application

Let’s understand where your flute life is now.

This is not an audition and you do not need perfect goals. The application helps Nick understand what feels scattered, what you want to rebuild, and which level of support may fit you best.

Nick personally reads each application. Honest context is more useful than impressive answers.

A Gentle First Step

This may be for you when…

You are ready to rebuild

  • Your practice feels scattered, inconsistent, or guilt-driven
  • Your sound no longer feels like it belongs to you
  • You want structure without being forced into someone else’s mold
  • You are open to reflection, experimentation, and meaningful change

You do not need to…

  • Practice for hours every day
  • Know which element or program you need
  • Have flawless technique or professional goals
  • Commit to anything simply because you applied
Personalized Pathways

Your work can draw from the modules that serve you.

Elemental Flute is not a rigid checklist. Nick can build a path from the ideas below based on your goals, season, and nervous system.

One Note at a Time

Tone · Alignment

Long tones reframed as identity, presence, breath, patience, and sound-building work.

ϟ

Breathing as Meditation

Air · Presence

Breathwork for grounding, release, resonance, and preparing the body to receive the sound.

Tuning as Alignment

Listening · Centering

Intonation practice as deep listening, resonance, and aligning with pitch instead of merely correcting it.

Aligned Composition

Original Voice

Create memorable melodies that fit your body, imagination, and unique musical identity.

Flutist Identity

Earth · Foundation

Clarify who you are becoming, what you value, and how your practice can support that identity.

What Happens Next

What happens after you send it.

Step 1

Nick reviews your story

He looks for fit, needs, goals, and the level of support that may genuinely help.

Step 2

You may be invited to talk

A friendly fit conversation clarifies expectations, timing, and your questions.

Step 3

You decide calmly

There is no commitment at this stage — take whatever time you need.

A small studio, on purpose: Nick works personally with every student, so space is naturally limited. If the timing is not right for either of you, the waitlist is always open.
Before You Apply

A few honest questions.

What if I am too busy?
Your real schedule is part of the plan. Sustainable practice is more valuable than pretending you have an imaginary perfect life.
What if I have had a bad lesson experience?
You can say so. Communication, pacing, structure, and emotional safety matter. Your past experiences help Nick understand how to support you more thoughtfully.
Does applying commit me?
No. It gives Nick context and opens the possibility of a conversation.
Do I need to choose a tier first?
No. You can explore the pathways on the Programs page and find the most natural starting point together.
